Hi, my name is Kogasa and I'm the LETTERSMITH of this forge! Wow, there sure are a lot of humans here today.

A-anyways, my job used to be making tools but lately everyone seems to be giving each other presents! Making those extra special is what I do around here now, including engraving clients' love letters into the gifts. I heard you're all interested in helping? Not that I mind the help, just that I don't exactly have any money to pay you all with...

Instructions

Use your mouse to connect tiles to make words out of metal.

You'll get specific words you need to create from clients as a part of the gift you're smithing. Complete the love letter engraved into the sword, coin, or giant novelty ice cube you're making to finish the level!

During dialogue scenes, press CTRL to skip. You obtain an item early into the game. Click on the item slot to the lower-right to use it.

Tiles you'll encounter

The ol' reliable.

Any LETTERSMITH's biggest friend and foe.

Destroys tiles and spreads every turn you take. If it fills the screen, then game over.

9 out of 10 doctors agree: bad for your everything.

Exploding on use, they flood the screen with fire.

Sisyphean.

Cannot be used. Can be gotten rid of by other destructive special tiles.



Bubbly!

Confuses your tiles, scrambling the board. Sometimes useful, sometimes not.

The coveted rainbow tile. Rare and fleeting.

Spelling bonus words (e.g. KOGASA, HAKUREI, TOUHOU) or creating long words (6 or more letters) can net you these.
